Material

100% ECOVERO™ Viscose

A soft, lightweight viscose fabric, this material has a subtly textured surface and a floaty finish.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose is a man-made cellulosic fibre (MMCF), derived from wood pulp. It has a silk-like feel, fluid drape and comfortable breathability.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres are recognised by CanopyStyle and EU Ecolabel certification as meeting high standards for environmental practice. This includes a low risk of sourcing raw materials from ancient or endangered forests, and the recycling of water and chemicals in the processing stages. In addition to closed loop practices, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ aim to minimise the risk of pollution, through the cleaning of water before it is returned to nature, and engagement with ZDHC guidelines for safe chemical use. According to Higg's life cycle impact assessment data, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generate up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose.

Mergu also hold GOTS and OCS certification, for the use of organically grown materials. Mergu Tekstil are working toward mitigating their environmental impact through the generation of renewable electricity via on-site solar panels, the harvesting of rainwater for on-site use, and separating waste for effective recycling.

• 1cm to 3cm shrinkage in length will occur on the first
  wash. Once ironed the fabric will relax and return to original hand feel and appearance.
