WAREHOUSE DESPATCH ASSISTANT – FULL TIME

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Warehouse Despatch Assistant, you would be responsible for effective and efficient pick, pack and dispatch of our wholesale deliveries. When required, you will also be assisting the inventory team with stock management and support to the broader distribution functions including driving the Forklift.

  • Forklift & Drivers license
  • Mon-Thu 8.00am - 4.30pm, Fri 8.30am - 2.30pm
  • Reservoir based Distribution Centre

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Accurate and timely pick, pack, and dispatch of wholesale goods (domestic, international, bulk/daily wholesale drops and orders)
  • Physical set up, maintenance and replenishment of temporary pick faces for wholesale bulk drops
  • Daily pick, pack, and dispatch of orders placed by ELK buyers (i.e. for media and donation purposes)
  • Arranging wholesale special deliveries and collection
  • Monitoring and communication of NSAs requiring stock adjustments to the DC inventory team
  • Communicating with local freight providers regarding ELK’s pick-up requirements
  • Liaising with local freight providers and wholesale sales team in regards to issues and actioning resolution
  • Identifying and communicating issues with local delivery despatch i.e. damage, incorrect labelling and quality control
  • Performing van deliveries to ELK retail stores when required
  • Assisting the inventory team with regular cycle counts, stock location audits and the receipt and put away of physical bulk goods
  • Working closely with team leaders within other departments to ensure safe and efficient pick runs
  • Assisting with processing of returns from wholesale retail store online customers
  • Leading by example always

WHAT YOU WILL COME EQUIPPED WITH

  • Experience utilising Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience effectively & productively utilising software including despatch software (eg ShipStation)
  • Experience working within Safety systems & frameworks (including Safety Culture)
  • Forklift License
  • Driver’s License
  • First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented Visual Merchandise Manager to be the Visual Merchandise champion for our intimate retail network of 10 doors throughout Melbourne. Reporting to the National Retail Manager, you will be responsible for operating at both a strategic and operational level, creating and delivering ideas from inception to implementation owning the look and feel of our shop fronts in each individual location.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Develop the VM creative strategy – plan, oversee and coordinate the design and timely execution of in store and window creative, ensuring our windows are aligned with the creative vision for the season
  • Play a hands on role in bringing our shop windows to life through creative, sustainable design, respectful of the creative vision for the season, brand values and ROI
  • Work closely with the business to create, communicate and implement in store VM standards & guidelines aligned with the business calendar
  • Empower our retail team, acting as the subject matter expert for VM, mentoring and coaching the team to ensure seamless execution of new season launches, new product injections, outfitting and seasonal refreshes
  • Provide thorough and timely communication to retail teams as required

WHAT WE WE"LL LOVE ABOUT YOU

You have a love of fashion, styling and a natural talent for VM, coupled with a strong understanding of the retail fashion apparel environment. You know the levers to pull to achieve mindful aesthetics coupled with commercial results. You love working with people to make it happen, from partnering with the team to interpret seasonal requirements from both a creative and sales perspective, through to providing coaching and direction to our in store teams to ensure seamless execution.

WHO YOU ARE?

You are the perfect match with:

  • Visual Merchandise (or related) Qualification, or similar experience
    At least 5+ years’ experience in similar role within a bricks and mortar retail, fashion apparel environment
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage to key dates
    Strong communication and the ability to quickly build productive working relationships
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite - Intermediate skills (Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign) Office Suite - Intermediate Skills (ie PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Must have own car and current driver’s licence (essential)
