RETAIL AREA MANAGER - PART TIME, 4 DAYS
ABOUT THE ROLE
At ELK, we’re passionate about creating beautiful, sustainable fashion and supporting our customers look and feel their best each and every day. As our Area Manager, you’ll be the vital link between our stores and our National Retail Manager—driving performance, inspiring teams, and championing exemplary customer experience. Based on the shop floor, you’ll lead a team of Store Managers, working shoulder to shoulder with your teams to empower them to deliver exceptional customer experiences, achieve commercial goals, and bring our brand values to life every day. Â
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Lead and support 9 Store Managers across 10 stores in Victoria (including 3 regional)
- Drive sales, customer experience, and operational excellence
- Analyse store performance using tools like Shopify and Kepler to determine priorities
- Ensure consistent brand experience and visual merchandising
- Coach and develop high-performing, motivated & engaged teams
- Foster a culture of inclusion, learning, and community engagement
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 3+ years’ experience in multi-site retail management within fashion apparel (essential)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams across multiple, geographically dispersed locations
- Strong commercial acumen, ability to analyse and interpret sales data to drive prioritisation & decision-making
- Passion for sustainable fashion, styling & creating exemplary customer experiences
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
- Detailed working knowledge of POS systems & streamlined retail processes (Shopify preferred)
- Must have own, roadworthy vehicle and current, Australian Driver's License (essential)

ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER - GEELONG & BARWON HEADS RETAIL
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Retail experience essential

- Part Time, circa 23 hours / 4 shifts per week with opportunity to flex up

- Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturdays essential
We are looking for an extraordinary and passionate Assistant Store Manager to join forces with our Store Manager to take both our Newtown (Pakington Street) & Barwon Heads stores to all new heights!
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering exceptional service and the ELK experience to existing and prospective customers
- Maintaining a loyal customer base and actively building community connections
- Outfitting, styling, upselling and on-selling our timeless range by engaging customers with aesthetic features and sustainable benefits
- Sharing the responsibility of driving smooth and efficient store operations
- Coaching, mentoring and elevating team members by consistently leading by example
- Supporting store operations to ensure performance is efficient, productive and in line with expectations
- Analysing store and team performance and recommending change for ongoing growth and development
- Assisting with the management of rosters
- Merchandising and maintenance of store visual presentation in line with guidelines
- Talent scouting for potential new joiners
- Living and breathing ELK as a true brand ambassador
What We'll Love About You:
- Experience managing and leading a team within a retail (or similar) environment essential
- Proven experience overseeing the effective and profitable daily operations of a retail store ensuring optimum efficiency, productivity, and performance to budgets
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a natural flair for making genuine connections with others
- Ability to excel in a team environment, nurturing and supporting those around you

THE ELK STORY
ELK, a pioneer of independent Australian design was founded by husband and wife duo Marnie Goding and Adam Koniaras in 2004 in Melbourne, Australia. Founded on a belief in creativity, innovative design and an authentic approach where people are at the heart of every decision.
